The Pod Network is now part of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine

Big Announcement!

We have exciting news to share! Recently the Pod Network became a part of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.

The program is now known as Building Healthy Communities, A Physicians Committee Action Network.

With this transition, we are looking forward to new opportunities, increased support and resources, and a greater scope of activities for our group. Please take a moment to learn more about the Physicians Committee and to sign up for their mailing list. Thanks for joining us on this journey!

As you may know, the Physicians Committee is dedicated to saving and improving human and animal lives through plant-based diets, while creating a healthier world in which health and compassion are central values. Your particpation and our community-based activities are integral to this mission shared. And, as a Healthy Community, we aim to inspire and support our community around a healthy plant-based lifestyle, bringing people together for events and advocacy. This is why we couldn’t be more excited to embrace the opportunity to support and grow this vital, lifesaving network.

Building Healthy Communities” is the new name for this growing global network.

Our local chapters are now called a “Healthy Community.” I’ll admit, it make take come getting to used to to not use the term “Pod”. 😉

PCRM is engaged with a trusted group of developers who are working to build our visual branding and web presence—a place for new people to find and join your community. You can also expect a new and improved support hub, where we’ll house all resources related to running our community.

Based on feedback received thus far, PCRM is planning new opportunities to expand the offerings we have for engaging with our community, including running book clubs, using the Physicians Committee’s 125+ Universal Meals recipe portfolio for outreach to our local institutions, introductions to a local Food for Life instructor to attend your meetups, recipe catalog, getting involved in Let’s Beat Breast Cancer rallies this fall, discounts on literature and tabling kits, and much more!
