Time for Picnics, Watermelons, and Get-Togethers

On Sunday June 9, 2024 Harmony ‘N Houston invited everyone to the Pavilion to share community, food and the great outdoors. Bayou City Beet‘s own Pod Lead, Karoline, brought a special presentation. Spoiler alert, it had to do with 🍨🍦❣️

In this community, Karoline Mueller, PhD, is known as a Food For Life instructor and PlantPure Houston pod leader for Bayou City Beet. As a chemist, she also works at the Texas Center for Superconductivity at the University of Houston. No worries, after you get to see superconducting levitation, all these words will roll right off your tongue.

She brought liquid nitrogen to make sorbet and (n)ice cream, and to show amazing science demonstrations. She loves interacting with children and teenagers and turns into the crazy scientist while doing demonstrations.

Karoline also talked about how individual people and communities can lessen the human impact that negatively afflicts our earth.

Thanks to Susan and Kent Marsh from the Harmony n Houston Pod for coordinating this great event!
